Apache Solr implementation

TYPO3 already comes with a search engine integrated. Indexed Search is great for sites with up to about 500 pages and 500 tt_news entries. As soon as these limits are reached many of us have noticed performance implications with indexed search already. We took a look at other available search systems in the Open Source world. Eventually we found Apache Solr which is based on a Lucene core. Apache Solr itself describes it as an enterprise search server and offers a great set of features and immense speed when searching through large sets of data. This talk is giving an overview of what Apache Solr for TYPO3 has to offer for you.
